The Boarding House A1 "Thalpos Trifylia I" operates in the Adult Mental Health Services of Messinia and has a capacity of fifteen (15) beds for long stays.
The Boarding House can accommodate adults with serious and severe mental disorders and severe psychosocial problems or persons with mental retardation and secondary mental disorders, who lack housing or an appropriate supportive environment or, due to a low degree of self-reliance, need a high protection housing structure in accordance with the defined Procedure for the transition of mentally ill persons to M.P.S., as in force.
The operation of the Boarding House indirectly benefits the family/supportive context of the beneficiaries, the wider community of the intervention area (residents, local authorities and social institutions, etc.), mental health institutions and professionals, etc.
Evaluation - Integration in the Boarding School
Receiving a transition request from a competent M.P.E.
Examination of the accompanying file (psychiatric, medical & social history)
Carrying out the necessary integration procedures
Comprehensive medical care programme
Psychiatric assessment and monitoring
Systematic monitoring by a general practitioner
Daily nursing care and pharmaceutical coverage
Systematic programme of medical examinations based on medical orders
Management of individualised medical interventions and rehabilitation programmes where required
Personalised nutrition programme
Psychosocial rehabilitation
Preparation of individualised care and rehabilitation plans
Individual therapeutic sessions
Psychosocial support and psychoeducation groups
Meeting social welfare needs
Occupational therapy, Drama therapy - Dance therapy - Music therapy
Reconnection programme / contact with the family
Skills recovery and cultivation programmes (creative activity groups, cooking, singing, etc.)
Programmes for the acquisition and cultivation of social skills/organised socialisation programme (attending theatre performances, cinema, sports events, exhibitions, festivals, shopping trips, etc.)
Development and promotion of professional skills and promotion in employment, where feasible
Participation in daily life and leisure activities

Cooperation of the Boarding House with other institutions for the enrichment of the rehabilitation and social reintegration program of the residents

The A1 Boarding School "Trifyllia Thalpos I" is implemented in the framework of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan Greece 2.0 with funding from the European Union - NextGenerationEU.
