The nurses of Greece and Europe gave their dynamic presence and this year at the 9th Pan–Hellenic and 8th Pan–European Scientific and Professional Nursing Conference which was held in the city of Kalamata, from 19th to 22th May 2016, by the Hellenic Regulatory Body of Nurses.
The purpose of the annual conference was to bring together the Nurses and Professionals of health, to highlight the clinical and scientific work taking place in Pan–Hellenic and Pan–European level, to give a unique opportunity for training in new practices and to present the developments in the field of nursing and health. During the conference there was a series of lectures, round tables, oral presentations, mock exams and of course the best work was awarded.
The heads of nursing facilities of Mental Health Units THALPOS I & II of "Athena-Social Care" participated this year in the conference as part of the training activities of personnel in order to strengthen human resources skills. Doing so, they had the opportunity to attend part of the lectures conducted focusing on topics relating to nursing and mental health nursing.
"The diversity of topics covered during the conference was such a significant experience, since it coveredall of the aspects of the nurse science. Also, it was really important that we had the opportunity to meet and exchange opinions with other participants of the Professional Nursing Conference."
P. Dimitrakopoulos, Head of Nursing Facilities THALPOS I
"Really interesting conference, with a wide range of topics and very good organization from the Hellenic Regulatory Body of Nurses. The thematic sections of community nursing and mental health nursing gained my attention, since they have direct relationship with the challenges I cope with every day at the Mental Health Unit THALPOS II."
G. Santourtzoglou, Head of Nursing Facilities THALPOS II
